GOALS

The design improvements and expansion of the Rio Grande Industrial District (DIRG) It aims to provide the State Government of Rio Grande do Sul with settings for the expansion work of the District and Retroporto of Rio Grande, in support of the activities developed in the Super Port. 3C was invited to join the multidisciplinary team coordinated by Bourscheid Engineering in the development of the Executive Project Planning.

The area of ​​DIRG is located in the Pontal da Mangueira, with the Super Port of Rio Grande, south of the urban area, on the opposite side of the hose bag. Its terrain is flat, low elevation relative to sea level and low slope, which makes it susceptible to drainage problems, especially when the tidal effect occurs along the canal. Part of the area is already occupied since the early 1970 by port activity, serving especially for grain export and import of fertilizers, besides having the TECON, capable of 25.000 Yours, and integration of road modal, iron and waterway.

PROPOSAL

Despite being the main port of Rio Grande do Sul, It presents great demand for improvements in their services. Are demands of the Government of RS: the full implementation of the road system, on the classification of drainage and sewage for protection hose bag; expansion of the electricity distribution system; and classifying the areas of support for transiting the truck location and await release for access to the bulk terminals or TECON.

The project also provides for the establishment of new areas of plots for the industrial district, predicting expansion of current capacity in 220 new batches, representing expansion 50%. For the preservation of existing vegetation areas beyond the protection of the banks of the Saco da Mangueira, the proposal says that over 35% its total area is destined to environmental preservation. They were also provided for areas of support to the activities of truck drivers and regulation of parking areas, who now occupy the margins of existing roads.

The performance of 3C was focused on the development of Urban Design, including compatibility with infrastructure projects. Due to the condition of the area DIRG, had great influence of drainage solutions, channels that relied, bridges and public easements and demanded intelligence in the installment process to prevent major losses of areas of lots. The automated approach the design process, including application of geographic information and modeling of projects in BIM, allowed efficiency in the compliance process, as well as assertiveness in the production of design documentation.
